Guard passing focus plan
You are reacting to every guard shape instead of forcing one clear passing problem.
Why this focus
This result means your passing needs a smaller decision tree. Pick one family, enter it on purpose, and learn the two reactions you see most often.
Track this
Stable headquarters, knee line cleared, or chest-to-chest control
3 rounds: 2:00 passing work / 1:00 rest. Use the same pass family for the whole session.
Drills
- Entry reps: reach your chosen passing position without finishing
- Reaction reps: partner gives one common defense, you answer it
- Finish reps: clear knee line, settle chest-to-chest, hold 3 seconds
Round rules
- Passer can only use the chosen pass family.
- Guard player gives realistic resistance but does not flee the drill.
- A pass only counts after 3 seconds of stable control.
7-day rhythm
- Day 1-2: entry only.
- Day 4-5: entry plus one reaction.
- Day 6-7: live positional rounds from your entry.
Watch out
Do not confuse movement with progress. If you cannot name the entry, reaction, and finish, the round is too vague.
