🥋 It All Starts With a Question

“How can I get better, today?”

If you train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, you’ve asked yourself this question a thousand times. You ask it after a tough roll, during a solo drill session, and when you’re trying to balance life, work, and your time on the mat.

I asked it, too. And honestly, I built TapFlow out of my own frustration. I was tired of aimless solo drills, clunky timers that broke my focus, and the feeling that my training can use more structure and purpose.

BJJ teaches us that clarity and structure create flow. I wanted to build a tool that lives by that principle. To build a tool that gets out of your way so you can focus on what matters: your development.

This blog is an extension of that mission. It’s not just a place for announcements; it’s my public journal for sharing ideas with you.

More Than Just a Timer: This is My Blueprint

Here’s what you can expect from this space. No fluff, no “content for content’s sake”—just valuable tools for your arsenal.

  • The Mental Game, Unlocked: I’ll dive deep into the sport psychology that separates the good from the great, exploring focus, resilience, and the mindset of a champion.

  • Mastery Beyond the Mat: Strategies for applying the principles of BJJ—leverage, efficiency, and problem-solving to your work and daily life.

  • Building in Public: The TapFlow Journey: You’ll get a transparent, behind-the-scenes look at what features I’m working on next, and the philosophy driving the app’s evolution.

  • From the Community, For the Community: I want to feature the stories, insights, and training methods of real practitioners; from white belts to seasoned black belts; who are using TapFlow to forge their path.

The TapFlow Manifesto: My Commitment to You

In a world of subscriptions and data-grabbing, I believe in a different approach. This isn’t just a product for me; it’s my craft. And these are the principles I’m building it on.

This is my promise to you:

  • You Buy It, You Own It. Period. TapFlow is a one-time purchase. No forced subscriptions, no recurring fees. You are a practitioner, not a subscriber.

  • Your Data is Yours, Not Mine. I am not in the business of selling your data. The app is designed to be your private, secure tool for your personal journey.

  • Built for BJJ, by a BJJ Practitioner. Every feature is designed with the unique needs of a grappler in mind. I speak the language because I live it.

  • Community-Driven Development. This is not a finished product; it’s a living project. Your feedback isn’t just welcome; it is my roadmap.

This Is Our Dojo. Let’s Build It Together
